Do I have to format my compact flash card in order to take photos off it?
I just put my compact flash card in my card reader and when I try to open it it says I need to format it which will erase everything. Seeing as I dont want to erase everything, how can I view my photos without formatting. Or how can I format it without erasing everything?
Theres o way t format something without eraseing it.
And yu must format it because it needs to be in a format the computer understadns.
Try this:
1. Download your camera(or whatever deives you use that card with's) software for transferring files.
2. Give n and format your card. The card's device may have formatted it to NGHFT(for example; this is not a real format codec) but the computer only understands FAT32(for Windows) or NTFS(for Mac)
