Can I replace the broken DVD burner in my Phillips hard drive recorder with any internal DVD burner?
That is, any burner intended for computer use with the correct hookup? This unit is a Phillips Model DVDR3455H/37; the recorder uses a standard 40 pin connector and has a sticker that states the DVD recorder is a "22F8".
yes you may, most recognizable brands have standard 40 pin connector.
however if you get a DVD burner that has a different connector, you can just buy an adapter for it from your local computer shop so it can plug to your mainboard.
